The 340B Drug Pricing Program: Understanding and Addressing Program Challenges and Opportunities

The Federal 340B Drug Discount Program (340B Program) enables a safety net for healthcare providers to purchase prescription drugs at significantly discounted rates, resulting in significant savings. Currently, the 340B Program faces challenges from both suppliers and payers. In this session, our presenters will summarize federal and state 340B developments, their impact on the supply chain and reimbursement practices, and where these trends are likely to lead. Key compliance elements for 340B hospitals will also be discussed during the session.

Along with recent developments within the 340B Program and ways to navigate them, our presenters will discuss key compliance elements under the 340B Program, an update on 340B contract pharmacies, and potential federal 340B legislation. Opportunities to increase 340B savings in the wake of the Genesis court decision regarding patient eligibility will be covered along with the intersection of the Inflation Reduction Act and 340B.
