Growing up in a small community in South Carolina, Dwayne learned the meaning of caring for and serving communities from an early age. From his days in little league sports to serving in several countries during his college days, his passion for helping people has been his driving force. Dwayne’s vision to bring a shared service approach to community healthcare formed many years ago during his time in a front row seat at the largest health system. That vision became a reality in Ovation Healthcare. Dwayne officially began the journey to Ovation Healthcare when it was established as an independent company in 2021. Early in his career, he earned business degrees including his MBA and Doctorate in Business. He lives in Nashville with his wife and is the proud parent of two married sons and a granddaughter, Blakely, who is his pride and joy. He currently sits on the boards of numerous organizations. He is an avid Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Braves fan. Dwayne’s favorite aphorism remains, “Well done is better than well said.”
John Turner serves as Ovation Healthcare’s Chief Operating Officer. John brings more than 25 years of progressive and reliable healthcare leadership experience in both for-profit and nonprofit healthcare environments. He has a track record of driving organizational success in operational and financial objectives through a strong makeup of strategic research and operational execution. John establishes an environment of uncompromising integrity within Ovation Healthcare and emphasizes a commitment to vision, values, and purpose while constantly focusing on clients’ needs and feedback.
Shelley has dedicated her 25+ year career to helping healthcare organizations ensure strategic alignment and operational excellence across leadership, population health, behavioral health, reporting and operations. She has held executive leadership roles and led cross-functional teams, ensuring alignment of people, processes, and systems, while fostering workplaces of accountability, diversity, and transparency. Shelley has also been instrumental in the creation and delivery of new service lines and programs. She empowers the organizations she partners with to improve their patient, provider, and staff engagement, while increasing their community impact for long-term growth and success, cultivating a culture of learning and continual professional development.
Brendan Rokke serves as Chief Strategy Officer for Ovation Healthcare. Brendan leads corporate strategy for Ovation and its business lines, including the development of organizational growth opportunities. He supports reinvestment for clients to ensure they receive exceptional service and maximum impact from Ovation’s shared services. Brendan has spent his career working with physicians, hospitals, and health systems to define sound organizational strategic decision making and grow clients’ presence in their markets.
Lisa serves as Ovation Healthcare’s Corporate Compliance Officer, bringing more than 20 years of experience in compliance and ethics. She partners with all Ovation Healthcare clients in developing and evaluating compliance programs, as well as serving as a reliable resource for all compliance related issues. She enjoys assisting compliance officers develop in their profession, while implementing and maintaining effective compliance programs. Lisa has been recognized as an excellent speaker and communicator.
Steve Bennett serves as Chief Growth Officer for Ovation Healthcare. Steve brings more than 25 years of experience in growth and go-to-market leadership, serving both payer and provider markets. He is responsible for business development, marketing, and Ovation Healthcare’s Learning Institute, supporting all lines of business. Steve’s teams are focused on helping understand and solve our clients’ most pressing challenges and opportunities and sharing their stories to help keep healthcare local and vibrant.
Judd Peak serves as General Counsel for Ovation Healthcare. Judd is an attorney with over 25 years of legal experience, including tenure at two revenue cycle firms. He is responsible for contracting strategy and oversight, risk management, litigation, and corporate entity management, and provides guidance and advice to all business lines. He is frequently sought as a speaker and has published articles and book chapters on healthcare payer issues, privacy regulations, compliance programs, risk assessments and labor relations.
Dr. Bryan Scheer co-founded Rural Partners in Medicine in 2010, contracting with individual critical access hospitals to safely perform orthopedic cases while keeping patients and revenue local. Since that time, he has worked closely with hospital partners to expand their service offerings, meeting the needs of their communities, and making specialty care more accessible. After receiving his medical degree at the University of Nevada and orthopedic training at the University of Oklahoma, Dr. Scheer moved to Scottsbluff, NE, where he started and managed a busy orthopedic practice, was a founding member and managing partner of a surgery center, was the president of the county medical society and was medical director of the hospital’s physical therapy department. Dr. Scheer is board certified and holds specialty certification by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery.
