Strengthening Hospitals for Stronger Communities

With more than 45 years of experience, Ovation Healthcare helps independent hospitals and health systems improve performance, ensure sustainability, and maintain independence through operational expertise, shared services, and mission-driven support.

Success starts with the right partner for independent hospitals

We’re more than advisors. We’re former operators, embedded partners, and trusted allies who walk alongside our clients to implement proven solutions that drive outcomes where it matters most. From critical access hospitals to multi-facility systems, Ovation Healthcare delivers tailored strategies backed by hands-on support and measurable results.

Our Differentiators

Rooted in 45+ Years of Healthcare Leadership

Since 1977, Ovation Healthcare has delivered proven performance across hundreds of hospitals nationwide. We’ve refined our approach over decades to help our partners strengthen financial health, optimize operations, and deliver high-quality care—all while remaining independent.

Built By Operators, For Operators – With leadership experience inside hospitals, our team applies frontline insight to create pragmatic, results-driven, hospital-tested solutions.

Shared Services That Power Scale – Spanning revenue cycle, leadership advisory, technology, and spend management, our shared services platform gives hospitals enterprise-scale capabilities at a cost they can sustain. Savings-based pricing ensures access while aligning results.

We Help Keep Healthcare Local – Community hospitals anchor both the economy and care in their regions. We connect leaders to strengthen local care through shared learning, education, and peer collaboration.

A Culture Driven by Purpose

At the heart of Ovation Healthcare is a shared belief that hospitals are more than healthcare providers. They are anchors for the well-being and resilience of the communities they serve. That belief shapes our culture, our values, and the people who power our mission. We don’t just talk about impact; we live it. We help rural hospitals keep their doors open, launch new clinical service lines, and improve financial performance with integrity, empathy, and excellence.

We are equally committed to fostering a culture of equal opportunity and inclusion. We believe the best ideas emerge from a diverse table of like-minded individuals motivated by purpose, empowered by one another, and united by a shared mission. Our workforce reflects a broad range of backgrounds and perspectives, fueling the innovation, collaboration, and insight needed for our partners to thrive.

Growing up in a small community in South Carolina, Dwayne learned the meaning of caring for and serving communities from an early age. From his days in little league sports to serving in several countries during his college days, his passion for helping people has been his driving force. Dwayne’s vision to bring a shared service approach to community healthcare formed many years ago during his time in a front row seat at the largest health system. That vision became a reality in Ovation Healthcare. Dwayne officially began the journey to Ovation Healthcare when it was established as an independent company in 2021. Early in his career, he earned business degrees including his MBA and Doctorate in Business. He lives in Nashville with his wife and is the proud parent of two married sons and a granddaughter, Blakely, who is his pride and joy. He currently sits on the boards of numerous organizations. He is an avid Tennessee Titans and Atlanta Braves fan. Dwayne’s favorite aphorism remains, “Well done is better than well said.”
