Samantha, a licensed clinical social worker, is experienced in community mental health, medical social work, and hospital administration. She spent the first half of her career as a paralegal working for law firms and the Department of Corrections before pursuing her passion of social work.  Samantha started her social work career in a mental health setting as a case manager for a community care program focused on assisting homeless individuals find and maintain housing.  She then transitioned to medical social work and spent 10 years working at a community hospital in Chicago managing a care management team composed of utilization review, emergency department and inpatient care managers. In the post-acute setting, Samantha was a member of the executive leadership team where she focused on the important patient journey through the healthcare system and effective transitions of care.  Her passion is helping patients maneuver through the healthcare system complexities and helping hospital systems streamline their processes. Samantha promotes patient advocacy and access to quality care for the communities she serves.
