Scott has over 23 years of Healthcare Facilities Management experience in the areas of project management, engineering and regulatory compliance. He is also the President of Codify Consulting, LLC, a privately owned consulting firm that specializes in health care Physical Environments. Scott attended the University of Kentucky where he studied Computer Science and Mathematics. He holds certifications in Facilities Management (CHFM), Safety (CHSP) and Emergency Management (CHEP).

Scott entered the healthcare field in 1993 where he began work at the Mayo Clinic as a project engineer for Cable Healthcare, an Austin-based technology company specializing in the development and delivery of patient & staff education content.

Following 10 years of project management, Scott joined Piedmont Healthcare in Atlanta Georgia where he managed day-to-day Facilities Operations of the main campus including a 550-bed acute care hospital and ancillary spaces totaling 1.5m square feet.

In 2007, Scott joined Community Health Systems as the Director of Facilities Management Compliance, a position he held for 9 years before transitioning to Quorum Health.  Scott served as the Senior Director of Facilities Management for Quorum Health for a period of 3 years before launching Codify Consulting, LLC.  Areas of expertise include Facilities Engineering, Project Management, Environmental Remediation, Code Compliance and Survey Management.
