Financial Operations and Reimbursement

Medicare Designated Rural Emergency Hospitals

Webinar

Rural hospitals continue to face increasing financial pressure and declining inpatient volumes. The Rural Emergency Hospital (REH) designation can help preserve access to care while offering an alternative reimbursement model. As many rural hospitals evaluate whether REH status is a viable option, understanding the reimbursement, regulatory, and operational implications is critical for informed decision-making.

Join Ovation Healthcare’s Vice President, Healthcare Finance & Reimbursement, Patrick Nudo, for a practical overview of the Medicare REH designation, including eligibility requirements, reimbursement methodologies, compliance obligations, and strategic considerations for evaluating REH conversion. Attendees will gain a practical framework for assessing how REH designation could impact their hospital and community and determining whether the model aligns with their organization’s needs.
