Rural Health Clinics (RHCs) have served underserved communities across the United States since 1978 by providing access to essential primary care services. Beginning in 2022, significant changes were implemented to modernize reimbursement rates, and the CY 2025 Medicare Physician Fee Schedule Final Rule introduced additional updates affecting RHC operations and billing practices.
This presentation will review the fundamentals of RHCs, including Conditions for Participation and the survey process. The program will also explore key considerations for new RHCs, restructuring existing clinics, and identifying opportunities to strengthen operational performance.
