Bruce is a nationally recognized healthcare leader in the development and operations of value-based care models and partnership development. His experience as a healthcare leader spans more than 35 years with proven results in value-based care development, hospital and health system operations, relationship and people development, business development, and innovation.

Following his service as a U. S. Army Medical Services Corps officer, Bruce served for 13 years as a senior hospital operations executive including eight years as CEO. To have a broader impact in the healthcare market, Bruce joined Walmart’s healthcare innovations team where he led an effort to grow Walmart’s in-store health services business. Bruce then joined SavvySherpa where he led efforts to incubate new businesses based on research and data analysis focused on reducing health care costs for large health plans and employers. Joining Community Health Systems in 2016, Bruce led efforts to develop its value-based care and population health efforts regionally including a clinically integrated network and a Medicare Shared Savings Program ACO. These efforts included partnerships with a large integrated health system, physicians, payors, employers, community resources, and vendors to align efforts to provide higher quality care at a reduced cost for more than 50,000 healthcare consumers resulting in more than $55 million in value-based revenue for the provider community.
